Terms of Use

Last updated:

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the website FixMyMeeting.app (“the service”). By using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

The service offers free guidance and in-browser device tests for audio and video problems in online meetings. It is provided as is and as available. We may change, pause or discontinue it at any time, and we do not guarantee that it is available without interruption.

3. Use at your own risk

The instructions are general advice given in good faith. Menus, wording and behaviour of Microsoft Teams, Windows, macOS and browsers change and differ between versions and company settings. Changing settings on your computer is your own decision and responsibility. On a computer managed by your employer, follow your organisation’s rules and ask your IT department when in doubt.

4. No warranty

We do not promise that the service is free of errors, that the test results are exact, or that the advice solves your problem. Measured values and recommended ranges are practical orientation, not an official specification of Microsoft or any device maker.

5. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law requires it (for example product liability). For slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability is excluded. This does not affect mandatory consumer rights.

6. Acceptable use

Use the service only for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt it, to overload it with automated requests, to copy it in bulk or to gain unauthorised access to it or its infrastructure.

7. Content and trademarks

Texts, design and software of the service are protected by copyright. You may link to the pages and share the summary created for you. Microsoft, Microsoft Teams, Windows and other product names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe the products the help is about; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.

8. Links to other sites

The service links to external sites, for example documentation by Microsoft. We have no influence on their content and are not responsible for it.

9. Privacy

How data is handled is described in the privacy policy. The device tests run in your browser and do not upload recordings or pictures.

10. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms; the current version is the one on this page. The law of the country in which the operator is based applies (see the legal notice), without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
